Right To Information Act, 2005
The Right to Information Act 2005 ensures the right to information for citizens to secure access information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
Mode of Getting Information
Any person who wishes to obtain any information shall make a request in writing in English or Tamil with a fee of Rs.10/- only to the Public Information Officer, Thiru A. Govindasamy Govt. Arts College, Tindivanam. Correspondence with any other person seeking information under this Act will not come under its scope. While seeking the information, the applicant need not specify any reason for requesting the information. Such a request will be disposed of within 30 days of the receipt of the request. In case of rejection of request of the applicant, the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate education Vellore is the appellate authority.
